Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is coming up on Tuesday, December 3rd, and if you are looking for a great organization to support, we hope you’ll take a moment to give thanks to the Buri Buri teachers who are on DonorsChoose.org. This amazing website allows teachers to sign up for supplies for specific needs in their classroom, and on Giving Tuesday, 12/3/19, DonorsChoose will match donations with an additional 50%. That's halfway closer to the teachers' goals of fulfilling their classroom supply list!

Check out the links below to learn more about how to donate to our Buri Buri teachers’ projects.

Mrs. Garcia-Rovetta would like to add tablets to her classroom, so students can access programs where they can listen to books being read to them, while also following the words on the screen.

Ms. Marty teaches K-2 grade students with differentiated lessons and would like to add iPads as tools to customize learning for each student.

Ms. Hillman understands that students learn best when they are comfortable. She’s looking to add clipboards and lap desks to her classroom so her students have options for a comfortable learning environment.

Mrs. Beckett has an amazing book library for her students but it could use a little better home. A new book shelf will help keep the classroom books super organized and minimize wear and tear.

Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year!

Is it time for school already?!?

We hope you had a wonderful summer, and we are excited to welcome you to Buri Buri for the 2019-20 school year! Buri Buri, the PTA, and all of our fantastic Bobcat families and students accomplished a lot last year, and we're certain to have another great year.

Our goal is to support Buri Buri students, parents, and teachers as best as we can, so that we all can have a great experience at school. Throughout the year, you will hear about the many activities, events, and programs that are coordinated by the PTA. Stay tuned for information about PTA membership, how to join, and the calendar of events for this school year.

We encourage you to participate in any way you can! There will be ample opportunities to get involved in our school community, whether that's by volunteering an hour or two of your time here and there to help at the dance, provide Art in Action in the classroom, help distribute lunch at the end-of-year picnic, or join the conversation at PTA Unit meetings. All levels of participation are welcome!

We hope that you will feel supported by the PTA. If you have any questions or concerns at any time during the school year, please feel free to email us at buriburipta (at) gmail.com.
